MS-163K (PR601) Barebones Notebook
laptop notebook, inkjet cartridgesWhen my brother moved away from home middle of 2009 my mom was gracious enough to give him the family computer so he could worry about one less thing during the whole process. She is a person who really doesn’t have any need for laptop accessories or new programs while at home. Being an elementary school teacher for children with learning disabilities all of the electronic tools she needs to get the kids where they need to be by the end of the year are in the classroom.

She works for a newly built school with classroom tech that made me jealous when I was in college. Chalkboards are a thing of the past in her classroom. Now everything is digital and the chalkboards have been converted to similar sized touch screen devices. She is able to draw on the screen from her desk, play movies, run slideshow programs and do so many techy type things she has no need for. My college classrooms were set up with projectors controlled at the professor’s desk but we never had the smartpads my mom has access to.

Anyway, at home she really only uses the computer for music, email, news and surfing the web. None of the bandwidth heavy stuff either. Obviously she needed to replace the PC my brother took so we started looking online for a functional yet affordable laptop notebook. There are cheap deals on just about everything in the computing world nowadays. She told me what she needed and with that I found her a great laptop notebook deal for the time. This was less then six months ago.

Today, I was looking for inkjet cartridges, everyone’s least favorite thing to shop for, within Dave’s Discount Galaxy at http://www.davesdiscountgalaxy.com/ and saw the deal I should have found when my mom was buying a new laptop notebook. Seen in the picture above, the  MS-163K (PR601) Barebones Notebook is actually more then the name lets on. Not in price, man it is affordable but the stats seem like something a person who paid way more would get when shopping for laptop notebooks.

My mom is a frugal shopper so I don’t even want to tell her about the deals I’ve been finding at Dave’s Discount Galaxy. It would have been nice to know about this place last year. Everything is 20/20 in retrospect but at least I know now. Remember the day when a brick like laptop cost well over one thousand dollars. Those days are gone.
